Good Fortuned began in 2021 with a simple idea: transform something discarded into something meaningful. What started as experimenting with cutting glass bottles soon evolved into a creative process of turning them into handcrafted candles and vases. Each piece is carefully shaped and repurposed.
Over the years, I’ve carried this business with me through the different places I’ve lived. In 2024, while studying at the University of Texas at Austin, I continued making candles. On weekends, I would visit local Austin bars to collect empty bottles. Mockingbird in West Campus became a favorite—they would save bottles for me in exchange for a candle.
